Something new to do – every time you visit

“Welcome back,” may be the two words you’ll hear most often at Empire Mine. For many, one visit is simply not enough. There are so many ways to enjoy the Park.

History buffs are keen to take all the tours – and learn fascinating new facts on every single one. Whether it’s learning what inspired the Cotswold-style charm of Empire Cottage or why the Blacksmith Shop was one of the most vital parts of the mine, fresh facts and stories make each visit memorable.

Tours may be arranged for schools and groups.

Our Gift Shop is a popular place to finish a tour. Whether you’re looking for a souvenir, jewelry, a book about our colorful history, or an unusual geological treasure, the Gift Shop will engage your curiosity.

Gold mining history is only part of Empire’s enduring appeal, however.
